Owner Irene Williams, Mama Rene to locals, beleives the local juke joint serves a valuable service to the community. The juke joints, to me, enable the peoples to go out and ventilate. When you work hard, you're tense... Not able to pay bills, not able to buy the amount of groceries that you need to buy. Not able to do a lot of things that you want to do." says Williams.
